Big Sewing Day

I sewed almost all day long today. I did take a break to eat a bite and bake an angel food cake with cream cheese icing. The first half apron is all black and white. It's checks and dots. The second one is denim with red checks and dots. The first full apron is teal and green. The last apron is black with 2 shades of pink and line green with lots of circles and dots. You can probably tell that I like circles and dots. The half aprons are $15 + S/H and the full aprons are $30 + S/H.

Hello--I'm BACK

I guess you could say that I took the winter off. Actually, it would be a mixture of having foot surgery and being lazy!! I had a nerve removed in the bottom of my foot, and since my sewing machine is upstairs--no climbing stairs or sewing for a while. I did work quite a bit on a new quilt that I had started. I am making it for my granddaughter. All the fabrics have dots in pastel colors. I'll show it to you sometime.
Cathy Cobblestone kept after me to "MAKE MORE APRONS". So, I got started last week and have been loving it. I really did miss sewing them. More pictures to come!!

Black & White or White & Black

Snowmen Magnets

I got these two (too) cute magnets at Cobblestone Farms---Cathy Cobblestone---yesterday. They are metal, and very heavy. She has so many cute Christmas and winter things in her store. I try to stop by every other day or so to see what's new. She has her Christmas Open House this Saturday. Stop by if you're in the area.

This is an apron I made for myself to wear at our church's Ham Supper Fundraiser this past Saturday night. All the servers and waitresses wore black and white. We looked SHARP!!!

Barn Quilt

They came today to put up our barn quilt which is part of the Jane Todd Crawford Quilt Trail. This pattern is called "Stripes Forever". It is 8' square. Our local Arts Council did the painting, and the local electric company installed it. They have 5 to hang today.

Church Auction Blanket

This is my offering for our Youth Church Auction this coming Saturday night. This is the 4th year for the auction, and each year I have made a wall hanging or baby quilt. My oldest daughter has bought them each year.

Too Many Apples

If some of these apples don't fall off soon, the tree is going to split.

Meet Rascal

Rascal is a Cairn Terrier (Toto). He is 9 1/2 months old, and a handful. He is so energetic. I get all tangled in his leash with I take him for a walk. He is becoming a good watch dog.

Gathering the Eggs

Halley found a new nest. It was hidden in some thick, ornamental grass in front of the feed barn. You never know where they're gonna lay.

Almost Ripe

Halley thought she had better check out the apple tree. They're just about ripe. She's gonna make apple jelly out of them. Will sure be good this winter on some hot, buttered biscuits.

Halley spent part of her day today swinging in the cool shade of the big oak tree.
